About the SEC Professionals Group

How are the meetings organized?

Meetings are held quarterly to discuss a range of issues, including XBRL, IFRS, communications from the SEC, performance of service providers, and specific accounting and reporting issues suggested by the members. All conversations are off-the-record and remain confidential among group members.

Member companies frequently send two or more people to the meetings, held in person or via webcast or telephone. Unless invited to participate by the SEC Professionals Group, auditors, consultants, and others are not allowed to participate in the meetings. Meetings last approximately 60 minutes.
